Bullet Journal

Bullet Journaling Supplies

It might be super obvious, but I’ll say it anyway – I love bullet journaling and the capability it gives me to organize things.

Some might say that you only need a black pen to bullet journal. That is true. But…

A huge part of why I like to use my bullet journal is because I have invested in supplies that are fun, colorful, and extremely useful.

I started out using Papermate Flair pens. I was kind of addicted to all of the fun colors and sets of them you can buy. I used them for so long that I acquired the entire variety of colors. However, after almost two years of using these as my sole colored pen, I was disappointed with the performance and durability of them, and the thickness of the tip. I prefer a more fine point than medium for my bullet journal. (I still use them for note-taking though.)

So, I switched to these cute Stabilo Point 88 pens. They were used by almost everyone in Germany. My only complaint is that some of the colors are so light they don’t show.

I also have these Zebra Mildliners. I absolutely love them. They’re double-sided, too, so you get two for the price of one! Tons of bullet journalers love these because they offer intense color, without having to be super bright all the time (like most highlighters.) I’m pretty sure I’ve used them in every single one of my weekly spreads since I bought them.

After buying so many tools, I needed a way to organize them, so I bought this pencil case, which keeps them really organized. It smelled a little funky – like plastic – at first, but that wore off after a while.

It’s taken me a while to acquire tools that I really love, and posts like this one helped me to choose the right ones. I hope it helps you in the same way!

I am always looking to improve my supplies and to find something even more durable that performs better, so if you have a bullet journaling tool that you would recommend, or any questions about mine, please let me know in the comments!
